Open Meeting, 4 June

Everyone is welcome to the next Friends of Greenhead Park Open Meeting on Saturday 4 June at 11am in the Greenhead Park Community Room.  The main topic for the meeting will be planting and horticulture in the park. Nick Brook, Area Supervisor, will tell us about the work of gardening staff in Greenhead Park and plans for future planting schemes and Paul Marshall, Nursery Manager, will talk about planting plans for the newly renovated conservatory as well as his role in supplying all the Park’s bedding plants.
We’ll also have an update on projects the Friends are currently working on with the council.  These include rejuvenating the Rose Garden and creating a ‘wild learning area’ and woodland fringe planting near the war memorial.  Ideas and support would be very welcome.
Park Manager, Robert Whittaker, will be at the meeting too, and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
